Helplines.
A number of local and national organisations provide telephone help for times when you need urgent help and support, or just need to talk through your concerns.
Helplines cover a wide range topics, are free of charge and confidential. They also provide information about other agencies that offer expert help.
Local agency helplines are usually open during office hours, whilst the majority of national helplines are open 24 hours, providing someone to talk to at any time of the day or night.
The only cost is the price of the telephone call at national or local rates, or freephone numbers.
