GHB.

Class C

Street Names - GHB, GBH, Liquid Ecstasy

Description
GHB (gammahydroxybutrate) comes in two forms; most commonly as an odourless liquid in small bottles or capsules and rarely as a powder that has a slightly salty taste. The strength of the liquid can vary and may badly burn the mouth.

GHB has been used in drug assisted rapes and sexual assaults, so it's always wise not to leave drinks unattended when 'pubbing' or 'clubbing'.

How it is used
GHB is taken by mouth, often mixed in a drink.

Effects
The effects of GHB range from a feeling of euphoria to unconsciousness. It is difficult to know the strength of GHB and too much can make the user disoriented and sick, with stiff muscles, fits and possibly collapse. GHB can be fatal if mixed with alcohol.

The Law
GHB has been classified as a Class C drug, under the Misuse of Drugs Act since 2nd July 03. Possession of GHB can result in up to 2 years in prison, increasing to 5 years for selling or giving GHB to someone else.
