Training in Substance Misuse in Hertfordshire is delivered by a number organisations:
- Courses run by The Centre for Mental Health Recovery. This centre provides a rolling programme of multi-agency short courses for staff who work with people with drug,
alcohol or mental health problems in Hertfordshire.

- Courses run by Children Schools & Families (CSF) are pleased to offer their training programmes to all foster carers and private and voluntary agencies working with children in Hertfordshire.
Details of their programme are available by post at the address below. Course places are available by completing a nomination form which is available on request. Completed nomination forms should be returned either by email to csf.l&dteam@hertscc.gov.uk or by post to:

- Courses run by Local Safeguarding Children Board: They offer a wide range of single agency and multi-agency courses in relation to child protection. Their courses are open
to workers from Health, CSF, Police, Probation, ACS, Housing providers and all agencies, including voluntary organisations that work with children and families in Hertfordshire.
Basic awareness raising and introductory training has to be undertaken by everyone involved with children and their parents. Training at this level will be single agency and each agency has responsibility for the delivery of courses to their own staff.
Non-statutory organisations, e.g. voluntary organisations, and Housing Providers / District Councils who do not yet provide their own induction / introductory child protection training should access courses run by the LSCB.

- Adult Care Services (ACS) Learning and Development Team is part of the Hertfordshire County Council. They run a range of courses of particular relevance to
staff who work with people with learning disabilities and with elderly people. Staff who do not work for the Hertfordshire County Council, including staff from the
private and voluntary sectors, are also able to access these courses, depending on availability. A charge may be applied.
